The result of one's own hands work leaves a good feeling and the certainty, something for the common everyday life in the day to have contributed, and thus to be useful.

A daily schedule
7:45 clock in the day our visitors arrive and have breakfast together. One of our goals, that the meals can be taken independently. Depending on the severity of the illness action sequences are always corrected. Four common meals a day give an opportunity to uncertainties in the daily lives as obstructive prove, through supporting the help of nurses predicted.

An efficient method of activating in our care is the reality orientation training, especially in the long-term care field applied. "ROT" is fitted to dementia patients, also in higher stages and helps disoriented patients remember to places, time and people. Twice a week in the context of occupational therapy crafting activities will take place. This therapy is one of the procedures which are specific to the creativity of dementia sufferers relates. By practicing feelings are lived and remembered. Until very late stages of the disease can be, because of keeped up emotionality, a therapeutic access to the patients remains.

Then it is time to prepare lunch. The cooking group, comprising alternating members, discusses the week once in the diet and taking care of the preparation of lunch. Who's going when and what ingredients to buy? Who covers the table, who served and who accepts from? Vegetables, potatoes, meat and fish are always freshly processed. Depending on the season are the fruits and preserved fruits. Strawberries sorting, washing, cleaning, weighing, with sugar to boil:

If the remaining resources are not continually trained, they are lost. Therefore, we pursue in our approach the principle that all visitors do as much as possible in production processes and manual activities, wich are in the everyday life of healthy people often done by kittchenmachines e.g.

Different clinical processes can raise conflicts within the group. Whether it's the dishes and wipe that hang laundry, folding and ironing, dust mop and flowers watered, or boil jam, always the care team ensures that the group dynamic process emerging impatience of one participant will be redirected in the active help of the other. Besides the elimination of disturbing social behavior, the achievement of greater independence and the recovery of lost skills, like eating or washing, are included to our tasks. People with dementia often need assistance with personal care and hygiene. The loss of autonomy for the concerned people may be very unpleasant and therefore it will be handled with the utmost discretion.

After lunch, the most visitors have a rest in the specially created area. At 14.30, the common cups of coffee follows, which often even baked cookies or cake will be served. From 15.00 clock the afternoon is filled with activities, such as brain training, with memory and concentration games besides mental tasks biographical work. The focus on positive memories are old photographs, stories, poems or songs from some of life as an anchor. The spacious design, light and bright rooms, the friendly colors, contributes to the well being of visitors, even if they take not part in the activation or are able to join. Especially popular is the litte bird or other animals like a rabbit in the centers. Participation in the fate of the animal friends often leads to scenes that are not only for the visitors arouseing emotions, but also the maintenance team.
